The Lodge

The Saturna Lodge is an historic building that began life in the 1920s as a mill manager’s home and, over the decades, has been enlarged and renovated into its present form and use.  The house is set in a spacious terraced garden overlooking the length of Boot Cove, one of the most protected natural harbours in the Gulf Islands.

The Lodge has three levels. Guests enter into the main floor which opens into the reception and lunge area with large windows offering panoramic garden and water views. French doors lead out to an extensive deck. There are three guest bedrooms on the upper floor, which can be rented individually, together or as part of a complete lodge rental. The lower garden level has another three bedrooms which ideally are rented out together and features a cozy and relaxing Living Room / Kitchenette / Meeting Room that features a gas fireplace and the cozy and French doors leading out to the coveted barbeque and the garden. The Lounge offers guests the use of a big screen TV, books, videos and games.
Many types of plants thrive in our unique cool Mediterranean climate and the Lodge garden offers an amazing array or flowering trees and shrubs. You will enjoy spending quiet time on a garden bench or, alternately, hone your competitive spirit with a game of bocce on the lawn.
Guests will enjoy a continental breakfasts included in the room rates. Fresh baking and fruit compliments the promise to set you up for a day of exploring Saturna.
Saturna Island food services include the pub, the café at the store, a café / ice cream parlour at the ferry dock and a bistro and tasting room at the newly opened Sage Hayward Winery. Opening hours are varied according to the timing of your visit.
